Sogliola was born out of a passion for the deep sea at a time when the world had gone still. A talented chef with an entrepreneurial spirit, Çiğdem Alagök, found peace in discovering the indescribable beauty underwater in different parts of the world, but she wasn’t able to find many swimsuits that she adored along the way.

As a culinary professional, Çiğdem has been so in love with the offerings of the ocean that she wrote a book on seafood recipes.  When she became a diver and decided to create Sogliola, she made her own offerings to the ocean with this brand named after the deepsea sole.
